Self Propagating High Temperature Synthesis Ceramic Composite Pipe

Self-propagating high-temperature synthetic Ceramic Composite Pipe is a wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant composite pipe prepared using self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) technology. Its core lies in the tight bonding between the metal matrix and the Ceramic Lining.


Core Definition and Preparation Principle: Self-propagating high-temperature synthetic ceramic composite pipe uses a steel pipe as the outer matrix, and generates an in-situ ceramic lining of alumina, silicon carbide, etc., on its inner wall using SHS technology.


1. During preparation, metal oxides and reducing agents are filled into the steel pipe, and ignition initiates a self-propagating reaction.


2. The high temperature released by the reaction (up to over 2000℃) melts the ceramic raw materials and metallurgically bonds them to the inner wall of the steel pipe. After cooling, a dense ceramic lining is formed.


Structural Composition:


1. Outer Layer: Uses metal pipe materials such as carbon steel and stainless steel, providing mechanical strength and installation adaptability.


2. Lining: A ceramic layer typically 3-10mm thick, commonly made of materials such as α-Al₂O₃ and SiC, which is the core functional layer.


3. Transition Layer: A metallurgical bonding layer formed between the metal and ceramic, preventing detachment due to differences in their thermal expansion coefficients.


Core Performance:

1. Extremely High Wear Resistance: The ceramic hardness can reach HRA85 or higher, with wear resistance 10-20 times that of ordinary steel pipes.


2. Excellent Corrosion Resistance: The ceramic has stable chemical properties and can withstand corrosion from acids, alkalis, salts, high-temperature flue gas, and other media.


3. High Bonding Strength: The metallurgical bonding method ensures a bonding strength ≥15MPa between the ceramic lining and the metal substrate, preventing detachment.


4. High Temperature Resistance: Long-term operating temperature can reach 800-1200℃, suitable for high-temperature conditions.


5. Low Fluid Resistance: The smooth surface of the ceramic lining and the inner wall roughness ≤0.8μm reduce energy consumption during transportation.


Application Areas:

1. Power Industry: Fly ash conveying pipelines, slurry pipelines for desulfurization and denitrification systems.


2. Mining and Metallurgy: Slurry conveying, tailings discharge, blast furnace gas pipelines.


3. Chemical industry: Pipelines for transporting acid and alkali solutions and catalysts.


4. Building materials industry: Pipelines for transporting cement clinker and pulverized coal.


5. Environmental protection industry: Pipelines for transporting fly ash from waste incineration and for treating slag-containing wastewater.
